I was born on Friday the 13th so I don't get too upset about it.  However - I'm so glad it's Friday!  This has been the week from you know where.  I work as a grain broker and right now we're in the middle of wheat harvest so we're super busy. 

On top of that the grain markets have gone crazy, some reaching all time highs - so that adds to the misery.

Our air conditioner here at work has gone out twice this week- been repaired and now it's out again.  The high today is 92.

So I'm really ready for the weekend.

Up here in the midwest about 20% of this year's corn crop is rotting in mud from all the rain.  Between that and the gov't subsidizing wasting our food for fuel, food costs will be going up - up - up!

I buy and sell metals and petroleum based products, and that's every bit as crazy as grains right now.

"So I'm really ready for the weekend." 

I start vacation at 4:00PM today!

I'm not having such a lucky day. I can't find the manual to my $700 DVD camcorder, and I haven't used it in so long ... I've forgotten how to get it to work. Jeesh.

Sometimes, (not many), the manufacturer will have the users manual on their website or maybe a link - just a thought.

We left work early today and after I washed my car, and did a few chores, I cranked the A/C down to 68.  A nice cool shower and something light and cool for dinner will make me smile.

I know tomorrow I'll probably back out in the heat working in the yard but to me that's much better than being stuck in a hot office.

Well, I finally found my Camcorder manual ... after digging for hours. As it would figure ... it was right under my nose.


This morning, I woke up to hear water running ... a durn rat had chewed thru the hot water line that runs into one of my bathrooms. What were the RAT dogs doing? Sleeping like bears in a cave. Good thing I have mad skill. After a 2hr trip to Lowes, I fixed it in less than 15mins.

Now, I have to go help Leroy put his new grill together ... Lowes is having a great Fathers Day sale today!
