Bailey is having a problem. She went out to do her business last night and started SCREAMING...like pooping was the most painful thing in the world. She finally did, but there was a little bit of blood in the stool (a big red flag, I know). Funny thing is, she acts like her old self. She's eating, drinking plenty of water, and playing like always. Very odd. So I'll be taking a stool sample to the vet tomorrow to see what's the matter. I'm worried about the little girl. She's always been so healthy. Even when Sandy had parasites when she was a puppy, Bailey never fell ill. Wish us luck that it's nothing too serious!

I hope everything will be ok.  But it's a good sign that she's eating and acting normal today.  Please, let us know what the vet says.

Well, the vet found nothing.  Said she's as healthy as a horse. Sooooo....he said to keep an eye on her, but he thinks whatever got into her system made a quick exit.  She's acts fine still,  stool looks normal, and she's not doing the screaming poop thing. I feel much better knowing nothing appears to be wrong, but it just seems odd.  There's not really anything in the yard for her to get into, and she hasn't been in contact with other animals. Just strange to me.  Anyway...all is well.

Glad to hear everything checked out okay, Deb.  Who knows?   It could have been a tiny piece of  foil or anything in the house she ingested...but all that matters is that she's fine.

Glad Bailey is OK ....   whew!  Sounds like she ate a no - no, and it roughed her up a little inside.  Sometimes Maggie produces a very strange nasty looking BM, and all I can think is "OMG, what did she eat now"!
